Réinitialiser Danew DBOOK 111
ClosedKr -

To anyone passing through here looking to factory reset the Danew Dbook 111 (password unobtainable on my part), the procedure is very simple:
Under the computer, there is a small hole on one of the sides. You need to insert a needle or a paperclip until you hear a small click, and then restart the computer while pressing down in the hole. The computer will boot into a BIOS menu, and you need to select Reset Factory.
Hello,
I have exactly the same problem with this model.
I think that this computer offered with a magazine deal is just a nice scam to get us to call customer service, which costs an arm and a leg.
Bravo for the ecology...
Hello,
As VaN said earlier, you need to act with a needle in the small hole under the PC. You will then enter Android Recovery after booting up.
Navigate down to Enter fastboot by pressing the button (- speaker).
There, navigate down to Enter recovery, and press Enter.
In Android Recovery, navigate down to Factory data reset to remove the screen password.
Restart the PC
And I'm convinced that, like the dbook110, there's something to do with the switch that I'm sure is located next to the headphone jack, but the procedure for the dbook 110 doesn't work for the 111. The screen stays black as soon as I press the switch and power. Either there's another button to press, or I need to boot from a USB or SD card, or the dbook111 is defective from the start. Apparently, I'm not the only one having the startup password problem.
Thank you
Good evening,
I provide IT assistance.
A client asked me to unlock their Danew Dbook 111 tablet, which was given with a magazine subscription.
Indeed, when trying to unlock the session, a code was required which my client did not have.
To reset the tablet, you need to follow the procedure below (approximately, I will just describe what I did):
1 - Remove the 9 screws on the back of the tablet to open it
2 - Remove the back of the PC (with a knife, slide around to unclip it gradually)
3 - Once the back is removed, you will notice on the right a small black button (near the headphone jack)
4 - Turn off the tablet
5 - Press and hold the reset button, and turn on the tablet. You will reach a system menu
6 - Use the arrows to navigate to the "Wipe data/factory" menu (or equivalent... I don't remember the exact wording)
7 - Select the reboot option afterwards
8 - On the next reboot, I got stuck on the "Danew" logo display, so I turned off and on the tablet
9 - Then, miraculously, I reached the tablet activation menu (and indeed, surprise, there is a step to "lock" the tablet with a code)
10 - Put the back and screws back on when everything is good
And there you go, I hope this process will help you.
Best regards,
Hello,
have you found a solution for gg61 because I'm having the same problem with my ddbook111 and it's impossible to initialize it with reset+power. I also have a black screen.
thank you for your help
Hello everyone,
I have exactly the same problem, after restarting a Danew Sbook 111 it asks me for a code that I don't know and most importantly, that I didn't set.
You can definitely feel with a paperclip that the small hole next to the headphone jack leads to a button, but when you hold it down at startup the screen remains black...
I also tried starting with the volume up button pressed, but it starts normally and asks for this code...
If you find the combination to access the hidden menu I would be thrilled!
same issue with the danew111 via magazine offer, password blocked, hard reset in the upper right + powerON > KO, screen remains black. I’m looking to boot via USB stick and perform a factory reset.
Otherwise, it could be a scam, defective tablet. I just registered with the serial number on the danew site.
Hello.
I tried the paperclip method. There’s a small hole next to the headphone jack. I pressed with a paperclip in that hole where there’s a switch and at the same time on power. The blue power light turns on but the screen remains black. ????
Thanks
Hello
Normally (at least according to the user manual), the hole next to the headphone jack is for the microphone:

The reset hole is located under the laptop.

On a computer, if it doesn't fit, don't force it.
When you don't know, you can't guess.
Yes, I saw that too, but it's incorrect. The microphone is in front of the vol+ and vol- buttons.
Thanks
good evening
I found this:
is this the method you tried?
best regards

I'm sorry, but I won't be able to help any further.

What are you talking about? I managed to reset it on the first try. Make sure to hold down the paperclip; it shouldn't let go.
