Hello. Last night at the beginning of the evening I was heading to a friend's house and I received a text that said:
"****** is your Facebook confirmation code." However, I haven't requested anything nor have I provided my phone number to Facebook. Moreover, there is no sender's number, just marked SMS in place of a usual number or a saved contact.
When I got home, I quickly changed my password for my account, deactivated the account, and ran a complete scan with my antivirus which found nothing (Kaspersky Total Security 2017).
I didn't want to do it from my smartphone because I was worried that if my account had been hacked, the smartphone might be affected by something (even though I ran a complete scan with Kaspersky for Android just in case, as I rarely use Facebook on the phone but sometimes I do, and it found nothing either).
What do you think I should expect and did I react appropriately?
