Hello,
I have a big problem:
whenever I use my mic and speak a little too loudly, Realtek HD audio automatically lowers the mic volume but doesn’t raise it back up when I speak more quietly, so when I'm on MSN, my friends can't hear me, and I have to set it to +30dB but it crackles a lot! Is there a solution because it’s really starting to annoy me.....
As you can see, after speaking into the mic, the mic volume dropped down to 16%!!!

Hi,
you right-click on the speaker next to the Windows clock / recording.
you should see your microphone, right-click on it and select "properties", go to levels, set it to max and either enable or not the microphone amplifier (10 dB should be more than enough).
and to prevent any changes, go to "enhancements" and disable all of them with the corresponding checkbox, the "echo cancellation" thing alters the sound by itself.
